Ribbons are classified into wax-based ribbons, resin ribbons and half-fat half-wax ribbons.
A Wax-based ribbon
That is to say, wax and carbon black (assumed to be black ribbon) as the main material, as the coating material of the product. Wax-based ribbon is the most economical and cheapest ribbon, mainly used for general paper printing, the use of wax-based ribbon must pay attention to is with the paper with the wax-based ribbon, wax-based ribbon is used for the surface of the feel of the material is slightly convex, is not suitable for the surface of the material as smooth as a mirror, such as PET material products.
B Resin Ribbon
Resin ribbons are used when the printed material must be resistant to solvents and high temperatures. For chemical packaging, or must be resistant to high temperatures, for electrical heating parts, or must be printed on special PET and other chemical products, it is recommended that the use of resin ribbons, because the resin composition of the material to achieve the above requirements, but the price of this type of ribbons is usually more expensive, but the printing effect must be matched with the paper/printing media in order to achieve the best level of printing.
C Half-fat, half-wax ribbons
This is a product that uses a mixture of wax and resin as the main material for the coating. The ratio of the mixture is changed according to the needs, mainly used for materials with smooth surfaces, generally suitable for products with strict surface requirements, such as the labelling of ordinary consumable products, the performance is made by combining the advantages of the above two types of ribbons.
